After this workshop with Sebastian and Murielle, I was feeling emotionally and physically different, more clear and calmed, more peace in my heart helping me to embrace the present moment. Working with the Life Force bringing our internal organs to the balance and harmony that we need.

Clean up the fears, anger and negative emotions to reach the inner peace and moving fearless in this Planet.

Today I am moving with freedom, taking care of my Liver and all my internal organs to keep the internal harmony taking care of my emotions and detoxing my path.

Ancient Taoists viewed the life as energy and referred to powerful life forces as spirits. The planets Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury and Saturn, and their related directions, East, South, West, North and Center, were considered potent life forces or spirits, because internal organs correspond to planets. Their related directions were also referred to as spirits. Planetary spirit is internal organ spirit, and internal organ spirit is human spirit.
Taoist cultivate arts, including nei dan (internal alchemy), developing conscious awareness of the undivided connection between these five spirits or aspects of life, allowing a profound experience of one’s true nature.

Después de este taller con Sebastián y Murielle, me sentía emocionalmente y físicamente diferente, más claro y calmado, más paz en mi corazón que me ayuden a abrazar el momento presente. Trabajar con la fuerza de la vida con lo que nuestros órganos internos para el equilibrio y la armonía que necesitamos.

The original Eighth Avene Pilates Studio in Manhattan bore the first generation of Pilates Teachers and now meeting the with the Pilates Lineage in UK.

Joseph Pilates developed his work from a strong personal experience in fitness. Unhealthy as a child, Joseph Pilates studied many kinds of self-improvement systems. He drew from Eastern practices and Zen Buddhism, and was inspired by the ancient Greek ideal of man perfected in development of body, mind and spirit. On his way to developing the Pilates Method, Joseph Pilates studied anatomy and developed himself as a body builder, a wrestler, gymnast, boxer, skier and diver.

My own experience with Pilates is one of the best way to move and be present.

Joe nació en Munchen-Glebach, una pequeña ciudad cerca de Düsseldorf Alemania en 1880.

Era un niño muy enfermizo que sufrió de asma, raquitismo y fiebre reumática. Su infancia fue no fue facil y tenia debilidades en su cuerpo y no mucha fuerza, por eso tenia situaciones otros niños y era incapaz de defenderse, todo esto fue lo que inspiró su viaje a la aptitud y la salud.

Joe pasó horas en el bosque estudiando el movimiento de los animales y la memorización de un libro de anatomía que su médico le había dado. A la edad de 14, él estaba modelando para láminas de anatomía y continuó desarrollando su aptitud física a través del boxeo, esquí, buceo, yoga y gimnasia.

En 1914 después de la Primera Guerra Mundial estalló, fue internado en un “enemigo campamento alienígena” en Lancaster. Fue aquí donde comenzó a desarrollar el Método Pilates de ejercicio conocido entonces como Contrology.

Luego fue trasladado a otro campamento en la Isla de Man. Mientras trabajaba aquí como enfermero, desarrolló su equipo de ejercicio utilizando resortes de la cama y otros aparatos.

Joseph spent hours in the woods studying the movement of animals.

Joe was born in Munchen-Glebach, a small town near Dusseldorf Germany in 1880. He was a very sickly child suffering from asthma, rickets and rheumatic fever. He was taunted by other children and was unable to defend himself, which inspired his journey to fitness and health. Joseph spent hours in the woods studying the movement of animals and memorizing an anatomy book his physician had given him. By the age of 14, he was modeling for anatomy charts and continued developing his physical fitness through boxing, skiing, diving and gymnastics.

In 1914 after WWI broke out, he was interned in an “enemy alien camp” in Lancaster. It was here that he began to develop the Pilates Method of Exercise known then as Contrology. He was then transferred to another camp in The Isle of Man. While working here as a nurse, he developed his exercise equipment using bed springs and other apparatus.

In 1925, he came to the United States and while on the ship he met his wife, Clara. Upon arriving in New York City, they opened a studio at 939 8th Avenue. Famous choreographers and dancers studied with Joe for their training and rehab work (George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Martha Graham). Additionally, many movie stars studied with him as well (Vivien Leigh, Sir Lawrence Olivier, Katherine Hepburn).

In January 1966, there was a fire in his building. Joe returned to his studio to fight the fire, but fell through the burnt out floorboards hanging for some time until rescued by firefighters. He later died in October 1967, at the age of 87, due to complications attributed to this incident. Clara continued to run the studio for the next 10 years until her death in 1976. A longtime teacher and student, Romana Kryzanowska, took over the business and dedicated her life to teaching Joe’s work.

 

 

Introducing a Group of Pilates Reformer Classes

From 20th of October 2014 I am Introducing a Group of Pilates Reformer Classes.

The Pilates Reformer is the best known piece of Pilates equipment. It is a bed like frame with a moveable carriage on which a person sits or reclines for resistance exercise or stretching.  It is an excellent method of exercising without over stressing the joints while strengthening, shaping and leaning muscles throughout the entire body.  The Pilates Reformer is excellent for physical rehabilitation and get back into shape before or after childbirth as well as normal exercise to improve quality of life.

He went on to establish his studio in New York and Clara worked with him as he evolved the Pilates method of exercise, invented the Pilates exercise equipment, and of course, trained students.

For best effect, attend a group reformer class.  The student should have at least ten (10) private lessons from a Pilates professional for a personalized Pilates program that is focused on the individual requirements of each student.

 Pilates Reformer classes will be conducted for up to 3 persons per class.

This class is geared toward those who already attend private lessons and want to work out at a steady pace with limited personal attention.

 For hygiene requirements, please bring a small towel and clean socks – no gym shoes will be used.

 Prior to attending class, please bathe and wear deodorant, but avoid excessive perfume.

 Cell-phones need to be switched off at all times!

Low energy is something that can be solve with the practice of meditation for just fifteen minutes a day; at the beginning, then with practice and patience you will be able to be a bit more longer; starting in the morning the first meeting with yourself.

Practicing and being change and more positive and peaceful path.  Meditation is beneficial and easy to do; Meditation is just be at the present moment and from contemplation to concentration opening the channels to be able to heal.

The physical and emotional benefits of Yin Yoga and Pilates by Luz A. Lovern

Many injuries are caused by muscular imbalances within our bodies, also we injure our body when we tense or move without being present and fully aware of the movements.

And many things cause these imbalances, our posture, our breath, our emotions, our state of mind, the way we walk, bend over, sit, lie down, or work out, we sleep, we talk…  basically the way we move. Most of us move incorrectly in some way or another, which puts too much pressure on some muscles and weakens others, causing an imbalance, causing unnecessary stress and using the wrong muscles.

In Yin Yoga we put emphasis on releasing our Thoracic lumbar fascia, breathing, relax our mind and let our body talk and communicate with us; is magnificent the experience I have in my own physical and emotional rehabilitation after 14 months of ACS with Diseconomy.

The way that we move may put too much pressure on the spine, hips, while weakening the pelvic muscles in the front of the body.  Either scenario creates an imbalance, which means the body is much more perceptible to serious strains, pulls, tears or worse.

Yin Yoga and Pilates exercises promote an even musculature throughout the body by strengthening the Hips area, Sacrum, Core, Spine, upper limbs and lower limbs.  As a Pilates and Yoga Teacher always I like to think that our body is a Peace of Art, no matter what is going on with us at the present moment, we are a unique and we all have the capacity to embrace the present, we are ONE!  The Power House is considered the “center” of the body and consists of the deep abdominal muscles along with the muscles closest to the spine. And also as everybody know me I just redefine the Power House as a Unit and our entire body, mind and spirit.  You can read about that in my past post.

Working also with Yin Yoga principales helping to release the tension created by my own traumatic experience.  Realizing fiscally and emotional my entire humanity.  That why I give to Yin Yoga all the credibility because prepare your body for the Pilates as a Yang exercise.  As we know Yin and Yang are part of our inner Universe.  As the Universe is outside is also from within.

Al LuzLife Private Studio we works with all the Pilates equipment necessary for help to give the necessary energies to spinal and pelvic alignment, which is critical in getting us to move the way we are supposed to move to avoid injury.

Based on the approach to the principles of Pilate repertoire, breathing, core strength, an even musculature, also working with Fascia release and deeper stretching of the joins.

Another reason is that it provides a greater degree of flexibility than most conventional forms of physical therapy. This is true because Pilates and Yin Yoga exercises can be modified for each person and still be extremely effective. You can go from basic movements to very advanced, depending on how a patient needs to progress or how badly they are injured.  LuzLife Studio will take care of you.
