Why Spiritual Fitness?

I have always understood the health and mental well being that comes with being an active person. If I went for a week without doing anything sporting that raised my heart rate and made me sweat, I could feel the lethargy and depression setting in. Over a year ago, my exercise regime included kickboxing and weight lifting and I felt on top of the world.

Then I had to undergo two emergency surgeries which put an end to my active life. It was a crushing feeling, not being able to move my body easily and feeling bloated and helpless. I saw the weight pile on, I was in pain for most of the time and my self-esteem plummeted. My recovery was taking so long that I lost hope of ever feeling good about myself.

I approached Luz to help me manage the back pain I was experiencing after my surgery. Through her brand of pilates, experience and knowledge, we were able to reduce the pain within two weeks. I also found my confidence was coming back because I was moving my body again. As the sessions went on, I started to see a change in my body shape and weight. It’s been 3 months since I started working with Luz, and now I can confidently say my back pain is gone and I’ve regained tone in my body that I had lost after the surgeries. Yes, I ‘m feeling on top of the world again.

Luz has also helped me understand the importance of being fit to help the body recover. If I had not been an active person before the surgeries, I would not have bounced back as easily and as fast. I may not be able to go back to kickboxing or weightlifting, but Luz has taught me other ways to stay fit, in shape and feeling great!

Hello Universe!

Time to move on… back to Thailand Bangkok for training with the best atmosphere for open the mind and let the recharge my energies with the green and the blue sky…

This time I like to share with all of you my journey, now facing “the land of the smile” to learn and immerse my self en new experiences, learning and training my self with the idea to be a better teacher today.

When they ask me why I keep training or why I am teach too much, is just because I like to learn from others the way out to be free of pain and suffering; no just physical also spiritual way.

To be happy is our goal in this planet yes? so for me happiness is something that we can build every day, with new experience and new challenge.  Renewing energies and be constantly flow.  Moving forward and growing from inside out.

I will be out of Qatar next month and I will be back to all of you with more energy, more experience and more smiles.

The greatest possession that we have is -self-possesion.

All we pursuit happiness like ultimate goal in our life.  We keep thinking that the paradise is far away and taking our retreat as a detox for mind and body; for sure is a great way to be recharge with good energy.  For how long we can keep this energy? for how long we can be balanced… we don’t know for sure.

What happens when we can’t go away and get the bliss done is fast track mode… So we need to be able to stand in our own feet and learning how we can be less stress, less unhappy and less selfish with our own existence.

We need to learn to cultivate our own soul food, grow and be still.  Facing every single day like a new day of hope, and be part of the Universe.422821_10150744536305152_98923893_n

If we are availabe to spend time with somebody that really need help or need some advice; you are going to have great and positive impact in your own path.  Give away love, time and listen others in some point you will get all the benefits back; just let flow like river, like cloud in the sky…, we are all connected and we need each others.

Just be sure when you are in front of any body that really need your help, be ready to give some “me time” away.  You will fell wonderful after that!

Then we can go for Meditation, Retreats and detox program; just be sure you are detoxing your daily existence and renewing energies, not matter where we are, and how is hour external and internal condition.  We can do better for others so we can do better for our self.429305_10150744539120152_1443722900_n

Accepting the universe! that is every where and of course is inside of you, just take some time to understand how beautiful could be a simple day of our life.

shaping our mind and body for the summer!

Here in Qatar we getting ready for another sunny summer; so better to get your mind and body in to shape for the summer.

As you know how important is keep your body in good shape not just for look good you will feel much better after each session. Always remember drink plenty water and follow a healthy food.  Honestly I don’t like to talk of “diet” because I believe that food is our friend, so please have plenty of healthy food, natural ingredients, read the label and have balance and moderation. And don’t forget your cardiovascular exercise; if is good for me is good for you!

Learning and growing from my own experience…

Usually I don’t share much about my own personal life.  I Always tray to be a good example and guide to all of you…

The last 24 hours many things have happened in my life; including a MRI in my brain and Cervical Spine.

What I try to impress  here is how life bring us challenging moments time to time.  Like self-training to be patient, to be grounded and to be optimistic.

Well now, I am not sure if I pass all this test successfully?  but I always found the love and contort in true friends that really love not matter what happens.  and who are always there with loving and kind words to give mourishment and love.

Was I ready for that? Not really? No way! I spend some time lost in translation with my self.  In another way I was ready for that any way…

I can teach now being more acknowledgeable of life, suffering, pain, feeling of loneliness and facing fear as a Peaceful Warrior.

And exactly yesterday when I was waiting for my MRI in my Brain, I got this amazing gift of rewards, gift of luck, gift to all this time I am dedicating my life to all of you.

Take a moment to set an intention and work on it, practice in a way that honors your whole being; body, mind and spirit.

Practice Loving Kindness when are you in Meditation in Movement, Yoga Asanas are for  nourishes your dharma, or your life’s purpose.

Begin by lying on your side with your elbow directly under your shoulder.  Place the opposite hand on the floor in front of the navel for support, and stack your feet.  Firmly press in the the forearm, palm, and feet while extending through your legs to elevate your hips.  Cinch the bottom side-waist, and reach your opposite arm strongly toward the ceiling to avoid collapsing your bottom shoulder.  Maintain alignment between the crown of the head, the hips, and the arches of the feet.  To increase the intensity of this pose lower and lift your pelvis.281545_10151284728740152_409696697_n

Invoke Peace

Om, Shanti, Shanti, Shanti – Om Peace, Peace, Peace

this mantra is an invocation of peace, often repeated at the end of a session of practice.  It has two functions. first, it affirms that peace is available to us at any moment that we choose to tune in to it.  Second, repeating this mantra helps to create more peace in the world, because according to yoga philosophy, when we call something into being with a pure heart and a focused mind, we are using our consciousness to shape reality.  This is in fact the primary purpose of all mantras;  They are tools to manifest intention.  When you do this with full faith, devotion, and focused intention, you will create greater opportunities for peace in all of these realms.  Namaste

Yoga with Luz

I have the chance to be part of Luz’s yoga class , because even if she has always a lot of student’s requests for integrating her classes, she keeps a high quality of listening (in keeping most of the time only semi private group), and pays attention to how is your body, and your mind not only the first time you go to the class but every single moment of the class, and she gives very interesting explanations in the same time about the different types of yoga, the origin,the anatomy, the benefits of each pose. Moreover, she adapts the mouvement and advice you about modification if you have any specific problem.
She’s doing restorative yoga as well for people with injury, and use and like to improve her knowledge in reading,teaching, doing specific worshop around the world regularly, and always in touch with physiotherpapist, osteopath…etc
I am very thankful to her because she is always acting in a positive way to make you feel motivate and well in your body and mind.
